Joining the Library

Membership is free of charge for all residents of West Nipissing or anyone who pays municipal property taxes to the Municipality of West Nipissing. Proof of current address is required upon registration. The proof of address can be a driver's licence, any item mailed to your current address, a rent receipt, a tax bill, or a lease agreement. If you are under the age of 16, parental consent is required in order to become a member of the Library.

If you are not a resident of West Nipissing, you may purchase a Non-resident Membership for $30.00 per year.

If you are in the area for a short period of time or for the summer, you may purchase a Seasonal/Temporary Membership for $15.00. At the end of your stay, bring us back your library card and we will refund you $10.00.

Using Your Library Card

If you want to borrow materials you must bring your library card. The bar code on your card is the key to your patron account and the borrowing of materials from our collections.

You may use your card at any of our five branches: Sturgeon Falls, Cache Bay, Verner, Field, and River Valley.

​

Materials borrowed on your card are your responsibility unless the card has been reported lost or stolen. Please report a lost or stolen card immediately to prevent its use by others. Replacement cards are $2.00.
