How long can I keep it?
Books
- Loan period: 3 weeks
- Overdue charge: 10¢ per day (excluding closed days) to a maximum of $5/ per item
Best Sellers
- Loan period: 2 weeks
- Overdue charge: 10¢ per day (excluding closed days) to a maximum of $5 / per item
Magazines
- Loan period: 2 weeks
- Overdue charge: 10¢ per day (excluding closed days) to a maximum of the magazine cost / per item
Music CDs, Audio-cassettes, Talking Books
- Loan period: 5 items for 2 weeks
- Overdue charge: 10¢ per day (excluding closed days) to a maximum of $5 / per item
Videos & DVD
- Entertainment: Loan period: 2 items for 2 days
How-to: Loan period: 2 items for 1 week - Overdue charge: $3 per day (excluding closed days) to a maximum of $20 / per item
Where can I return materials?
You may return materials at the front desk during library hours. After hours you may return books and magazines ONLY in the drop box outside the library. There will be fine for any video or audio materials returned in the drop box and the patron may be charge a replacing cost if these materials are damaged while in the box.
What if I need something longer?
All materials at the exception of Videos and Bestsellers may be renewed either in person or by telephone if the item is not reserved for another patron.
What if I lose an item I borrowed?
For material lost or damaged behond repair, as determined by library staff, the patron will be charged the cost of replacing the item.
Can I reserve an item that is currently on loan to someone else?
You may reserve an item by presenting you library card at the front desk. You may also do it by telephone. You will be notified when the item becomes available. The item will be put on hold for you for 3 days (excluding closed days) after you will be advised of its availability. If the item is not picked-up withing that period of time, the item will be reshelved or given to the next patron on the reserve list.
